Let's Get Acquainted!

Hey, there! If you are here for the Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop, welcome!
I am Mary and I live in a little town in Northeastern Ohio, USA. Currently, however, I am on vacation in one of my favorite places in the world, Vermont USA, with the family.
Mr. Wonderful
In full British Open regalia.
(since you don't know Mr. Wonderful, he would want you to know
he posed for this picture as a joke!)
Mr. Awesome Sox
Princess Grace
Charming Prince Zachary
And, never ones to be left behind, my diminutive quilting mascots,
Charlie Bucket (left) and Mrs. Beasely!
This is the point in the blog post where I should post all of the great hiking, fishing and mountain biking pictures that I have taken. And I will do that, I sure will.  I will do that just as soon as I get home and get that stupid cord that I forgot out of the drawer that I left it in!

Next up on the blog post should be the tutorial that I have been working on for the last, oh, I don't know, TWO MONTHS, to share with you.  The one that included really great directions for what I am doing here,

and here,
and here,

All of which will show you how to make slipcovers for the headboard on your bed like these:

that I made for my guest room, which I now call my Reunion Room since the entire room has been decorated, by little me, in Sweetwater's Reunion fabric, which I adore.

Yup. This would be the perfect time to post that tutorial that has been plaguing my mind for the last several weeks. Except for the one little oversight that I made, which is forgetting all of the notes that I kept while I was working on this tutorial. Those are sitting on the desk at home; the very same desk that has the drawer that contains my camera cord.

*sigh*
Yeah.
I'm pretty sure in all of the great bloggedy advice we have been getting over the course of this hop, there has been something that advised against begging people to come back again when you actually have something good to show them.  BUT....
if you did happen to return, there WILL be a tutorial on how to make slipcovers for your headboard AND there will be awesome action shots of mountain biking, hiking, etc.
So, welcome, thanks for stopping by and

  9. Oh dear! Isn't it so frustrating when you have everything planned perfectly and forget one little thing that turns out to be crucial?! The slip cover for the headboard looks like a great idea though!

    Lovely photos!

  11. Bwahahaha! Well, I hope you are enjoying your time in Vermont. We love it there. My tutorial was done from afar as well. I live in Virginia, and my day came up when I was at my mother's in Illinois. Fortunately, I did not have to remember my camera cord as the SD disc can go directly into the computer!
