If you don't already know, Sewing Summit is a sewing bloggers conference. It was put together in 2011 by Erin Singleton and Amy Ellis so that quilters and sewers can get together with other quilters and sewers who they've gotten to know on the internet, but possibly have never met in person. So, since it is a conference for bloggers, (do you see where I'm going with this?) I figured it behooved me to start acting like a blogger again. Let's face it. I need a little blog discipline.
With discipline in mind, I am going to start blogging every Tuesday and Friday. You see, Tuesday and Friday are laundry days around these parts so I figure I will be home, I will be in the downstairs of my house (away from the sewing room), and I will be otherwise idle. Perfect time to do a little bloggedy blah blah, right? Right!
The only problem is, I am not such a prolific quilter that I have something interesting to show you two times a week. I hate it when I'm all like, "here is block one of my huge ass quilt that is going to take me months to make," and then a couple days later I'm like "here is block two," and on and on and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. You smell what I'm stepping in?
So, I'm going to mix it up a little. Some days It will be a quilting blog, some days it will be a This is My Very Thrilling Aren't You a Little Jealous of My Life blog, (yeah. not so much) and some days will be about what I'm cooking. See, there is something I have never revealed about myself. I can't do much very well, but I'd be lying if I said I couldn't cook. I can. I am a full fledged toque wearing graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. I owned my own catering company in another life. I've got cooking cred. So there you go. It's out. I'm not a chef, though. You won't ever hear me refer to myself as a chef. The reasons why will be a blog post of its own. The word "chef" is a big word. I don't mess around with it.
There we are then. Tuesdays and Fridays. I hope to see you here! For now I'll leave you with what I've been doing with my time away from the blogateria.
I finished my Swoon quilt, and gave it away. |

Plan of attack with a blog! I love it! I am super jealous of the sewing summit... But I too have been neglecting my poor blog. I am using the excuse I don't have my camera.
