I'm a Liebster!

Do you know what a Liebster Award is?  I sure didn't until I woke up this morning.
My friend Linda from Roscoe's Ma presented me with this.  She is such a sweetheart.  She lives in my neck of the woods only in an even more rural spot and is a super talented quilter.  I'm not sure how we found each other, but she has been following my blog from almost the beginning.  Also, she thinks I'm funny.  Notable because I am usually alone in that opinion. Go check her out. :)

I've copied the Liebster information right from Linda's blog:

Liebster means Dearest in German and the award is a 'share the love arrangement' that is given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers. There is a list of things that recipients are required to do upon receiving the award.
  • Thank the person who presented you with the award on your blog.
  • Link back to the blogger who gave you the award.
  • Copy and paste the award on your blog
  • Present the Liebster Award to 5 other bloggers with less than 200 followers.
  • Let them know you've chosen them by leaving a comment on their blog.

So, job one, THANK YOU, LINDA!  You absolutely made my day, you darling girl!

And now, drumroll please!  My picks for the Liebster Award:

Gene Black OK, so I'm cheating a little bit on this one. Gene has more than 200 followers, but not that many more.  But he really is the Liebsterest of all the Liebsters out there.  He, too, has been following me from practically day one and is my biggest cheerleader.  Hardly a blog post goes by that Gene isn't there in the comments rooting me on. He also has the best tutorial on bias cutting that I've seen, AND he can play you a happy tune on his penny whistle.  He's the best!

Next up is Beth from Plum and June  Beth has organized the Let's Get Acquainted blog hop that I was so flattered to be asked to be a part of.  She has put in so much time and effort into this hop, and I have to admit, I have not been very good about talking about it here. I think about it ALL. THE. TIME. I am doing a tutorial for my day, and will finish up the project today. I have been going through all the pictures I've taken and will write it up tomorrow. So, THANK YOU, Beth, for all of your hard work. I have enjoyed "Getting Acquainted" with all of the other hoppers!

Sally's Quilting Corner  Sally is another great gal. She is always there with a cheery hello on Twitter.

Did you know nerdy is the new cool? It is, and it is awesome. Case in point is Christina Tabor, The Nerdy Sewist  She is talented, funny, and upbeat. I always look forward to her blog posts and what she has to say on Twitter.  Also, she is getting married!!

So, that's four Liebsters. I know I am supposed to give away five awards, but, nobody else that I follow meets the criteria. I don't know what that says about me, but everybody else has a gazillion followers, but they are all very "Lieb" to me!
EDIT: I'm an idiot. Of COURSE I have a fifth awardee. She is Kelsey at KELSEY SEWS She has the cutest blog and she is a top notch sewist!  She is also a fellow Ohio gal and is also participating in the Blog Hop. Please be sure and check her out too!

Also, I made this bag.

I didn't really intend for it to be reversible, but I really like the inside, so I'll probably use it both ways.

Have a great weekend!
Mary
